Linguine with Homemade Prawns Scallops, Saffron Tomato Sauce


J requested tomato-based pasta sauce with sherry and saffron flavor and add shrimps in it. It sounded like a kind of Spanish dish. I sautéed garlic and shallots with olive oil, added sherry generously, cooked a bit, then added canned chopped tomato and some chicken broth as well as a pinch of saffron and sweet paprika and cooked for a while. Add shrimps, well, prawns in English and baby scallops that I found right next to the prawns at the grocery, and cook more. Some fresh parsley for garnish. Toss cooked linguine with the sauce. The result was A+!
