Yomogi Mochi, again
This was Yomogi Mochi - Japanese rice cake mixed Yomogi or Artemisia princeps (Japanese Mugwort) filled with Azuki, sweeten red beans, again!
It's a spring time, meaning a Yomogi Mochi season. I was glad I still had enough dried Yomogi powder that my mother sent me last year. I also had all other ingredients in hand. Before this summer comes, Let's make some Yomogi Mochi!
Handling freshly steamed Mochi was so hot and sticky as usual, but I had to quickly make Mochi balls before they get dry. I managed it anyway with a lot of fun.
It's my privilege to taste one (or two) that was still warm and very soft. The moment was heaven...
