Sourdough Boule

This was Sourdough Boule.

An effect of a proofing basket makes bread look like artisan and delicious. In fact it was delicious. Trust me! The recipe was basically the same one (thanks again to Emilie's blog, the clever carrot!) that I have been following to make simple sourdough bread that rises with sourdough power without instant yeast. Differences were I used a proofing basket and pre-heated a dutch oven.
Some recipes including Cook's Illustrated believes pre-heating a Dutch oven helps bread rise. I tried it. I didn't know my bread rose better, but it looked nice, didn't it?
Because of the beautiful pattern made with flour, when I cut the bread, hold the bread, bite the bread, my hand, my mouth, my plate, around the table covered with flour snow. Maybe the pattern was not practical; still I adored it.
