Sweet Cherry Pie with Tahitian Vanilla Ice Cream

This was homemade cherry pie with homemade vanilla ice cream.

It's still in cherry season. According to J's request, I made fresh sweet cherry pie by following a recipe from Cook's Illustrated. It was a lovely pie. Pitting 6 cup cherries one by one was worthwhile after all.
For ice cream, I followed a recipe from Cook's Illustrated and used a Tahitian vanilla bean again. We love the bean's unique floral aroma. With fresh pie, it was a special treat.
