Bread Pudding

This was bread pudding.

I didn't forget that we had some white bread, or "Pane Bianco" from a local Italian restaurant. When the bread became almost-a-week-old, it was the time to change the stale bread into a warm custardy dessert. My bread pudding was simple old-fashioned, with custard sauce made with milk, heavy cream, egg, sugar and vanilla extract, and golden raisin soaked in rum a few hours.
Bake it in 300 F toaster oven about 30 minutes. So easy! Why haven't I made bread pudding often? I baked it just before dinner. After dinner, the pudding was still warm.
With whipped cream, of course, we were happy with the old bread make-over.
