Cod Cakes in Fresh Tomato Sauce

These were cod cakes in fresh tomato sauce.

The dish is perhaps one of our favorite from Jerusalem cookbook. I have already made a couple of times but till would like to repeat again and again. This time I used fresh tomatoes instead of canned tomatoes.
I don't know whether because of the fresh tomatoes, but J said this was the best! I agreed that the dish was truly delightful. On the second day, we made couscous as a side, which fully absorbed the tasty juice. The cod cakes with couscous was even better!
