Red Wine Chocolate Cake, revisit

This was red wine chocolate cake.

Why haven't I made the amazingly fudgy chocolate-y and red wine-boozy cake for a while? Probably because I usually don't have red wine in hand. Not this time. I bought a bottle of Pinot Noir to make a Bolognese sauce for Pasticciata Bolognese, which was wonderful. Of course, I didn't need the full bottle of wine, so I offered the leftover to J. In short, J didn't like the taste. I don't know about wine, so I simply picked it based on the price. 
That's ok. I had an option to make this magical cake that doesn't mind what kind of red wine is used. In the cake form, J liked the wine very much. The cake was a real magic.
