Thanksgiving dessert this year was Grand Traverse Pie Company's State Street Cherry Peach Crumb Pie!
Cherry and peach combination was J's father's request. We were glad the Michigan pie store had the exact pairing. We ordered the pie online and received a day before Thanksgiving day.
Honestly the pie was ok but not as good as their other pies we had before. It was a little too sweet for my taste. I think the crumble topping was the main source of the sweetness. Plus, the crumbles have become soggy. I assume it was because of juicy peach. Even though I reheated the pie before serving, the crumbles didn't get crispy, rather gooey. This was a pie for someone who likes very sweet gooey crumbles. Unfortunately it wasn't me. On the other hand, the peach and cherry filling, especially tart Michigan cherries were very nice. Perhaps, we can try their cherry pie in the future?
