Lark's Coconut Butter Cookies
These were Lark's Coconut Butter Cookies.
When I was looking for a gift for my friend at Dean and Deluca in Georgetown a few month ago, there was a couple of kinds of Lark Fine Foods' cookies. I hadn't heard the brand but because of the cute package and decent looking cookies, I was very curious about it. Later, I looked up their website. They are 100% female owned cookie-maker, located in north of Boston, Massachusetts and say:
"We set out with a vision and mission to make a commercial line of products that tasted as good, if not better than homemade, with unique combinations of flavors that would be appreciated by an adult palate."
I adore their "Cookies for Grown-Ups" concept. They also only use quality ingredients, have received several awards. Convincing enough. Next thing to do was to taste cookies. I registered myself on their mailing list to receive free shipping code for the first order. Somehow I didn't receive it. Then, some weeks have past. I almost forgot about the cookies. It was around Black Friday when I received email from them. Yeah! Although it wasn't free shopping code but 20% (15%? I don't remember...) discount for all orders. It didn't matter. I spent more than $35 to be qualified for free shipping anyway.
One of cookies I got was Coconut butter cookies, which I saw at Dean and Deluca. In short, they were very tasty! Rich buttery, very coconut-y, not too sugary. I didn't clearly taste rum, but it must be neatly blended in cookies. Not doughy or floury. Enjoyable bite! J liked them too. I also bought other two kinds of cookies: Russian Tea Cakes and Salted Caramel Almond Chocolate Pearl cookies. Both were for my family in Japan, so I did't taste them. I hope they are as delicious as coconut butter cookies. Well, in order to confirm it, shall I order the other cookies for myself (and J, of course!)? In fact, Lark lists 11 kinds of cookies on their website. Why not try all?
