Tori-Gobo-Kamameshi

This was Tori-Gobo-Kamameshi, or kettle rice with chicken and burdock roots.

I used a rice seasoning product that I bought in Japan last fall. Mix rice and the product (soup and solid ingredients) and cook them together in rice cooker. That's all. So easy but very delicious! Surprisingly J liked the flavored rice. I would buy more when I go back to Japan next time.
On the other hand, only rice would be too simple for dinner. I made egg drop soup with Tofu, Shiitake mushroom and scallion.
The rice and soup combo made us very satisfied but not too full. I like this kind of light meal.
