Zenzai Breakfast

This was my secret breakfast, Zenzai!

Zenzai, or baked rice cake (Mochi) with sweeten red bean (Azuki) stew is my winter treat. Last year, I had dried Azuki beans and made homemade red bean stew. This year, I used a can of cooked sweeten Azuki beans, adding water and simmer it. It wasn't as good as homemade, but it made a quick hot Japanese sweets breakfast for a chilly morning. I am very sure J won't miss it. Just for me.
