Cucina Al Volo's Pasta Marathon Day 4 Final

This was Cucina Al Volo's Pasta Marathon Day 4 - the last day!

To celebrate the finale, we paired the pasta with special ingredients - mushrooms that J picked at a farmer's market in Takoma Park. One of them was called "Lion's mane." The furry ball didn't look like a mushroom at all. At the first appearance scared me, but actually it was so soft and fluffy, and kinda cute. J was told by the mushroom vendor it tastes like lobster. We'll find it out!
J also picked some yellow oyster mushrooms. Mushrooms are fascinating.
I cooked those mushrooms with olive oil, onion, garlic, white wine, and low-sodium chicken broth. This simple cooking was to appreciate the delicate taste and texture of the mushrooms.
The result was delightful! The mushrooms were meaty and so delicious! Did lion's mane taste like lobster? We didn't find it this time. Perhaps we can try it again!
