Homemade Éclairs

These were homemade éclairs.

I wanted to make a kind of dessert that would be sweet, light, soft and creamy. That sounded like éclairs! First I baked long puffs. Next I made custard cream. Then, I piped the cream into the puffs. The custard cream was very thick. I might have cooked it too long, but the cream made with real vanilla beans tasted lovely!
At last I covered the cream-filled puffs with chocolate. I was a little hurry and couldn't make chocolate glaze smooth. Unfortunately my éclairs didn't look like those sold in Paris or Japan.
Still they were delightful. J and I enjoyed them very much! Next time I will try to make the cream lighter and chocolate glaze prettier. Yes, certainly there will be next time.
