Lobster Festival @ The Drum & Monkey

After we came back from the Robin Hood Festival, we experienced The Drum Lobster Festival 2019 at The Drum & Monkey. It was almost a year ago when we had a wonderful dinner at the seafood restaurant. Glad we had a chance to revisit the place!

I remember that the restaurant was running the lobster festival when we visited last year, but we didn't have lobster. We didn't miss lobster in season this time. I ordered Whole lobster served with garlic butter and lemon. J did Whole lobster Thermidor. Then we swapped half so that we could enjoy two kinds of cooked lobster. Both were pretty good!

Before the main dishes, we both had the Drum fish soup with croutons as a starter. The soup was very nice, too. We were with J's friend, D. Instead of having the lobster course, he chose Galician style octopus with potato and pimento and Seafood Linguine in a rich tomato and Lobster bisque with shavings of Parmesan for a starter and a main dish respectively from Ala Carte Menu. Both looked wonderful. I would love to try them next time.
