Paris - Un

We were in Paris on a weekend of the early June. We didn't plan this trip. J's relatives were visiting Paris during their trip in Europe, so we decided to meet them there. It was a great opportunity to see La Ville Lumière (the City of Light) first time. We had lunch Les Petits Pois. The charming bistro was J's pick. Well done, J! We both had two plate lunch. J, who love savory, had soup (starter) and fish with risotto (main). I, who love sweets, had salad with a poached egg (main) and île flottante (dessert). Having floating islands, a classic French dessert in France was one of many dreams of mine. Wonderfully done!

We had plenty of time until the dinner with J's relatives. While we explored mainly around the area of Latin Quarter, we did some shopping. One was several tea at Mariage Frères to refill our empty tins.

Also J's favorite canned sardins at Conserverie la belle-iloise

We walked through Le Jardin du Luxembourg (Luxembourg Gardens). Rain was on and off during the afternoon, but the sky was getting clear in the evening.

We happened to find a chocolate shop, Le Chocolat - Alain Ducasse just before our dinner time. Who can ignore chocolate in Paris?

Finally we met J's relatives and had a lovely dinner at a classic bistro style restaurant, Au 35 on Rue Jacob. I don't have a photo to prove, though...

To be continued...
