Easter 2019
Our first Easter dinner in England started with my semi-traditional chickies. There were supposed to be four. While one was still in egg shape, it has disappeared to J's tummy...
Our main dish was lamb shawarma. I have cooked shawarma a couple of times before, but this was the first time I cooked a bone-in leg as the recipe from our favorite cookbook Jersalem suggested. I marinaded the lamb overnight and roasted it for 4 hours. Thanks to J who basted the meat every hour, the roasted lamb was very tender and moist!
We made pita sandwiches with the lamb shawarma along with chopped fresh tomato, cucumber, radish, red onion and parsley salad, and homemade tahini sauce. So tasty!
Happy Easter!
