Tea Time @ Harewood House

We had a nice tea time at Terrace Cafe in Harewood House, a 18th century country house in Harewood, West Yorkshire. The house was known as a place where Mary, Princess Royal, who was the only daughter of King George V and the aunt of the current British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, lived with her family. The views of neatly designed garden and rolling parkland from our outside table was stunning. My simple scone with jam and cream somehow tasted special. J seemed to enjoyed his ham and cheese sandwich.

After the peaceful tea time, we self-toured the inside of the house. Each room was gorgeous! Especially each ceiling was so beautiful! Well, except that of the State Dining Room that was raised and changed in the 19th century. I won't say it wasn't beautiful, but all white ceiling wasn't interesting to me.

Harewood had more than the enormous house. We also explored the property. To be continued...
