Cold Kishimen

This was cold Kishimen noodle, a type of Japanese wheat noodle, Udon. Wide, flat, very smooth and slippery, which may make chopstick maneuver a bit difficult.

Like Zaru-soba, Kishimen noodle could be served as hot in soup or cold like this. Since today was another hot summer day, cold version was suitable.

We added generous handfuls of sliced scallion, sesame, and Nori into dipping sauce bowl. Simple and delicious. What else do we need?
