Reimen and more

We were invited to a wonderful luncheon by our sweet friends, Mr. & Mrs. T. The menu was fabulous: Reimen, Kakiage, and macaroni salad.

Reimen, or cold ramen noodle were beautifully decorated with colorful toppings: neat "julienne" cucumber, tomatoes, egg, and ham, and corns. Actually it was the first time for me to have Reimen in the US. How could I forget this summery noodle dish with vinegar-based sauce last 10 years? It was very tasty.

Kakiage, or mixed vegetable and seafood Tempra was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. Dip into the special sauce and bite! Yummy.

Light and creamy macaroni salad gave us a nice break between two other dishes. The combination of macaroni, avocado, edamame, carrot was clever.

Not only these lovely dishes but also the beautiful "bird's eye" panorama unfolded out of the window of their dining room surprisingly amused us. Most importantly, their hospitality was superb! Thanks Mr. & Mrs. T so much!!
