We dropped by a new small local grocery store, and bought apple butter and honey. Apple butter tasted very fresh, a lot of apple flavor, nice spice, not sugary at all. Honey tasted like honey... well, at least I could say there was nothing to say negative on the honey. The key was those products were made locally.
The bread was made closer than local - at home. J sliced freshly baked European Peasant Bread while they were still steaming. What a happy moment to munch very fresh bread with fresh apple butter and honey!
