Homemade Zenzai

This was homemade Zenzai.

Zenzai, baked rice cake (Mochi) with sweeten red bean (Azuki) stew, is a wonderful Japanese winter treat! It's easy to make if, yes, IF you have access to Azuki and Mochi that are not commonly sold in the US. Luckily I had Azuki that I bought in Japan a few years ago and Mochi from online Asian grocery store. And it's winter. I would be disappointed at myself if I don't make Zenzai right now.
A bowl of warm Zenzai has been cheering me up in chilly mornings. Does J want to join me? Nope, I know he is not a big fan of this kind of thing. So, all Zenzai is mine!
