Neuhaus' World's Top Chefs Collection
J secretly bought the box for us this holiday season. Neuhaus' chocolate boxes such as History Collection, When the 'Haute Pâtisserie' joins Neuhaus..., and Cup'ines Prestige have been amusing us so much. I was so excited to try this new collection! Nine world-famous chefs have designed their own pralines for Neuhaus, with inspiration from their own childhood memories. Some ingredients such as popping sugar, slow-simmered pineapple and pumpkin ganache were fascinating; some combinations such as intense coffee buttercream & Szechuan pepper and lemon & Japanese green tea Matcha were magical. Each piece was very unique and divine. I loved all! Especially, as a strawberry lover, Daniel Boulud's creation - "chocolate ganache scented with lemon verbena on a delicate layer of strawberry fruit jam coated with dark chocolate" was terrific.
