Linguine with Clam & Octopus

This was Linguine with clam and octopus.

Our favorite clam pasta met Spanish octopus! I got the canned octopus in olive oil as a part of J's birthday gifts. The little oval can was packed with pink octopus legs that were chopped, boiled, preserved in olive oil, seasoned with sea salt.
I fixed the dish in the same way to make our usual clam pasta by using just one can of clam, and just before turning off the heat, adding the octopus to warm them up and toss them with pasta and clams all together. The result was pretty good! The octopus pieces were very tender and tasted clean. It was a lovely change to our regular clam pasta. I would like to stock some canned octopus as well as canned clam in the pantry.
