Ploughman's Lunch with Wensleydale Creamery's Cheese

Our first meal with the cheese that we brought back from our Wensleydale Creamery visit was a ploughman's lunch. Cut cheese, place on bread along with cured meats, Brussels Pâté, and/or pickles, and eat it. Then, repeat it. There were four kinds of cheeses that J picked - Kit Calvert, a buttery, creamy old-style Wensleydale cheese. It was the only cheese that the creamery still produces by using animal rennet. Buttertubs was buttery and kinda crumbly cheese with a slightly sharp flavor. Red Leicester, an red-orange colored, mellow nutty cheese was an award winning cheese made at the creamery. The last but not least was Naturally Oak-Smoked Cheddar. Creamy and smokey!

Each cheese was different from the others. A very nice pick, J! I couldn't say which one was my favorite but I enjoyed all. We didn't finish the cheeses at the lunch (we shouldn't). There were plenty of leftovers. To be continued...
