Ukrainian Borscht, revisit


I had to do something with cabbage that always looked at me when I opened the refrigerator. Making borscht with the cabbage was J's idea. I haven't made the beautiful purple soup for a while. I revisited my old recipe. It still looked good. I used more or less of each veggie and used chicken broth for water. I forgot to add diced tomatoes. With those changes and accident, the soup was pretty good. Served with store-bought rye bread, the soup dinner made us very satisfied.
