Smoke Tea Duck and more

We did take-out dinner from our local Chinese restaurant:

- Smoke Tea Duck
- Braised Tofu, Pang-Ka Style - soft tofu braised in sliced pork, leek, and special chili black bean sauce
- Sauteed Bok Choy

The restaurant serves two separated menus: the Western and the Eastern. The former is something you can easily find at any Chinese restaurant in the US, namely, Americanized. The latter is completely unique, nothing like I have seen at other Chinese restaurants in the US, and unbelievably delicious!

The Eastern menu offers traditional Chinese dishes from the Canton and Sichuan regions, including a great selection of bold spicy dishes. To explore authentic Chinese cuisine, we always order from the Eastern menu; so did we this time.

This Smoke Tea Duck is one of "must-eat" dishes. It needs to be ordered 3 days in advance so that the whole duck can be deeply steamed in smoky tea flavored sauce. So delicious!

Other two dishes were also wonderful too! Braised Tofu was very tasty with good chile kicks. I always like their way to saute seasonal vegetable with a lot of big pieces of garlic and ginger.

They are definitely the best Chinese restaurant in my US life so far. We hope the restaurant keeps the amazing menu and stays there while we are here.
