Smoked Salmon on Toasted Bagel, revisted

This was smoked salmon on toasted bagel, one of our favorite breakfast.

We haven't had smoked salmon for breakfast for a while. Perhaps one of the reasons was that we have been frequently enjoying J's special smoked fish sandwiches for lunch/dinner last year. Also, we haven't found smoked salmon as good as what we had at a cafe in NYC. This time we picked the salmon at Whole Foods. I think it was Alaska Sockeye. The texture was fine, not fatty or mussy although it was pretty salty. J didn't think so but my sensitive salt sensor detected a high level of saltiness at the first bite immediately. I hope to find smoked salmon that we love to buy repeatedly, or shall we go back to NYC?
