Borough Market in London

We arrived at food heaven! Borough Market is one of the largest (housing over 100 traders) and oldest (dating back to at least 12th century) food markets in London. Fresh produces, baked goods, cheese, spices, seafoods, fresh/cured meats, games (oh no, bunny!), coffee stands, various hot cooked foods, etc. There were so many things that looked delicious and I would like to try.

We actually bought a couple of things. One was a cup of hot apple and fig drink. It was lovely in the chilly winter morning.
We also bought 8 flavors of Turkish Delights, two pieces per flavor, at The Turkish Deli. I haven't seen such a wide variety of flavors before. The store staff said their Turkish Delights were made in Turkey, and didn't mention a specific brand name. After we came back home, we enjoyed the treats. I couldn't sometimes tell what flavor I was chewing but overall they were pretty good.
We also found wonderful toasted cheese sandwiches. The vendor called Kappacasein Dairy offered two items: Raclettes and cheese toasties.
It was my first time to see raclettes in person. Scrape bubbling melting cheese onto boiled (steamed?) potatoes. The Swiss dish was very attractive while it could be difficult to share and eat on the street.
Instead, we shared their cheese toasties - the mixture of cheeses: Montogomery's cheddar, Comete, Ogleshield, and London Raclette in Poilâne sourdough bread with leek and onions. They were so tasty!
What a fun market! I would love to come back with several huge grocery bag and empty stomach.

Talking about a market, we also visited Leadenhall Market. Nothing to eat there but the entrance to wizard's pub, the Leaky Cauldro on Diagon Alley in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
Talking about film/novel locations, we covered a few more Sherlock Holmes-related locations, too!

We were quite busy in London.
