It was last September when we drove to Otley first time. J chose Buon Apps River Lounge & Italian Restaurant for our lunch destination. It was wonderful! We ordered two starters to share: Burrata Caprese and Red Pepper Bruschetta. Both were beautifully presented and tasted fresh.
As a main, we both had a pasta dish. My Lobster Ravioli, which was served with meaty king prawns, pine nuts, fresh basil, tomato, chilies, garlic, cream and a hint of brandy sauce, was very rich! The ravioli had a nice texture and was generously filled. J had Tagliatelle alla Bolognese. It looked decent and he seemed to enjoy it.
Not only their food but also the view from our table was enjoyable. The restaurant stood on the banks of the River Wharfe. The dining room's windows from top to floor, facing to the river offers the stunning panorama view of the river and bright sunshine...well, it was cloudy at that time. Luckily we had a window table at the corner and felt like sitting over water.
The restaurant had a well-maintained outdoor terrace. It would be lovely to have an outside-table on a sunny, warm day, watching flowers in the garden, listening to the sound of stream, and chewing delicious pasta.
