Vinegar from Demijohn in Edinburgh & York

Another treat from Edinburgh was Demijohn's vinegar. During our stay in Edinburgh, we stopped by at Demijohn, "the Worlds first Liquid Deli." Inside of the store looked like a chemical lab. You buy a bottle and they fill it with "liquid" that you would like - whisky, gin, vodka, brandy, rum, port, mead, oil, vinegar, and so on. Wide range of varieties and flavors.

We often dress salads simply with red wine vinegar and olive oil, so we were interested in having different vinegar. Demijohn provided several kinds of vinegars. After testing some, we chose elderflower vinegar and gooseberry vinegar. Both were sweet, sharp, fruity, floral and delightful!
We really liked the vinegar and both bottles quickly got empty. To refill the bottles, we didn't need to travel to Edinburgh. Fortunately, Demijohn has a store in York! The store in York looked like one in Edinburgh. We had our bottles refilled and bought a new flavor: Damson.

Then again, it didn't take long to use those three kinds of vinegar up. We went to their store in York again for refilling. Also, we added one more flavor: Bramble.
Each has its unique flavor and fine balance of sweet and sharpness. They are dressing salads wonderfully. I can see that we will have the fifth flavor soon.
