Wedgwood in Edinburgh

Time flew quickly as usual. It was already our last day and time to choose a place for lunch. We were shopping in the Old Town in the morning. J searched and picked Wedgewood. The restaurant was on the Royal Mile. We must have passed by probably three or four times in front of the restaurants without knowing it. We were the first customer of the lunch time. I liked the chic decor.
We both had the same first dish - Douglas fir cured Scottish salmon with pink grapefruit puree and cucumber ribbons. The combination of salmon and grapefruit was new for me and interestingly worked very well. I haven't heard of "douglas fir cure," either. The salmon was very tasty. We also chose another fish for second dishes. Again, unfortunately I don't remember what the fish were.

Both dishes were beautifully prepared and enjoyable. The restaurant was cozy and the service was nice. Another successful choice, J! After the lunch, we strolled the Royal Mile again.

Edinburgh was a great city to visit and eat! We brought a couple of treats back home. To be continued...
