Homemade Shrimp Salad Sandwich & Sardine Pate Canapés

This was homemade shrimp salad sandwich.

We were excited to make our favorite tuna salad with a beautiful sourdough baguette called Ficelle from Cenan's bakery...until we found out we didn't have canned tuna.
Then it occurred to us to make shrimp salad with leftover frozen pre-boiled shrimps. This idea saved our sandwich dinner plan. We liked the bread very much. It was pleasantly sour and chewy.
With a part of the baguette, J created a cute canapé tray - sardine pate with fresh chive, shallot and his secret spices. The canapés were tasty indeed.
