Sandwich Dinner with Bread from Bread Furst

This was a sandwich dinner with bread from Bread Furst, in Washington, DC.

I visited the bakery first time. There were so many items I wanted to try! I picked a Levain country loaf (I guess), and some other baked goods. The loaf smelled lovely!
The crumb had a lot of big and small holes, but I was able to spread egg salad and fish salad. Both were of course homemade!
The bread held well and tasted nice, too. First I thought a sour taste came from the French mustard I generously spread, but when I tasted the bread alone, I found out the bread was quite sour.
Later I learned "In France, the word for sourdough is levain." I see!
