Salzburg, Austria 2: Cafe Bazar

On the second day, we had a simple breakfast at Cafe Bazar. Established in 1927, it's a nice local coffeehouse in the old Viennese tradition. I had a croissant with jam and butter and a cup of tea. Jam was wonderful. During this trip, I had jam at several places and all were excellent. I didn't know that Austria is an ideal destination for a jam lover like me!

J was having egg on toast with a cup of Melange. Simple and fine. This kind of coffee house apparently opens as early as 7:30 am, which was great for us so that we could start a day in the early morning followed by a sit-down breakfast with a hot meal.

Our early morning activities of the day included visiting some of the Sound of Music filming locations such as Mirabell Gardens.
